Description
To produce dehydrated garlic flakes without root, follow these steps:
1. Start with fresh garlic bulbs. Remove any loose, papery outer layers from the bulbs.
2. Slice the garlic cloves thinly using a sharp knife machine
3. Spread the sliced or minced garlic evenly on a dehydrator tray. Make sure the pieces are not overlapping each other.
4. Set the dehydrator temperature to 65°C and let the garlic dehydrate for 4 hours, or until it is completely dry and brittle to the touch. The drying time will depend on the humidity in your environment.
5. Once the garlic pieces are fully dehydrated, remove them from the dehydrator and let them cool completely.
6. Place the dehydrated garlic pieces in an airtight container or a ziplock bag, and store them in a cool, dry place away from light.You can now use these dehydrated garlic flakes to add flavor to your favorite dishes, or grind them into a powder using a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle.
